Da Nang, Vietnam has not one but TWO pink churches!
When I visited Da Nang, the biggest city in central Vietnam, I knew that I had to visit the famous pink church. As a taxi took me from the bus station to my hotel, we drove along the Han River, passing by this beautiful red and pink church. That must be it, I thought! Well, it turns out that this isn't the famous pink cathedral! Da Nang is actually home to two different pink churches! While the
Sacred Heart Cathedral might be the more famous of the two, An Hai Chuch is worth a visit as well.

I didn't realize my mistake until I saw the famous pink cathedral later. I didn't mind my confusion, however. This other pink church may not be as famous or historical as the cathedral, but it's quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. The architecture looks a bit Medieval, but is blended with southeast Asian elements such as breezy porches and wide-open windows to cool off the sanctuary.
